VIU College Singers

The VIU College Singers is a choral group that has been an integral part of the Vancouver Island University Music program for many decades. It is a mid-sized ensemble which introduces students to a variety of sacred and secular choral works, and aims to instill a life-long love of choral singing.  Not often heard away from campus, Nanaimo Sings! events present a wonderful opportunity for the singers to broaden their performance horizons.

Director, Rosemary Lindsay, a UBC music graduate, is a long-time singer, voice teacher and choral director. She currently teaches voice at VIU and directs the vocal jazz choir as well. For Rosemary, music is a first love, and furthering the skills of her singers, while pursuing choral heights, is a true passion.
