This innovative full-day workshop is designed to introduce choral singers to advanced ensemble techniques. With a focus on the ear, rather than the voice, as the key to great choral singing, this workshop takes singers on a technical, physical and intellectual journey into intuitive singing based on hearing and listening.
These are the things singers will learn about:
- The four types of attention used in musical performance
- How to divide singing into passive and active elements
- How to focus the mind on listening and hearing while singing
- How to pair passive singing with active listening to sing in tune and in synchrony with others
