A Cappella Plus, under the direction of Patricia Plumley, will collaborate with the Village Voices of Qualicum Beach to present In the Mood… to sing together at Knox United in Parksville.  Tickets at www.acappellaplus.ca   Adults $30, Youth (5-18) $25  Children under 5, no charge.

Sunday, April 26, 7 pm
A Cappella Plus, under the direction of Patricia Plumley, will present In The Mood … for fun and frolic at Brechin United in Nanaimo.  Tickets available at  www.acappellaplus.ca  Adults $30, Youth (13 – 19) $15  Children under 13, no charge.

Island Bel Canto Singers, directed by Fiona Blackburn, hosts Encore! Women’s Choir of Duncan, directed by Michelle Weckesser, as both choirs present a celebration of music by Canadian women at St. Andrew’s United Church, Nanaimo. Ticket information through The Port Theatre ticket outlet and both choirs.

Saturday, May 2 , 2:30 pm
The Harbour City Singers, under the direction of Lionel Tanod, present their 20th Anniversary Celebration at St Andrew’s United Church. Their guests will be the Nanaimo Youth Choir and Fiddelium. Tickets from choir members and at the door: Adults $20, Students $12, Under 12 no charge. 

Saturday, May 2, 7:30 pm
Malaspina Choirdirected by Fiona Blackburn, presents Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem at St. Andrew’s United Church, Nanaimo. Joining the choir will be the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra, a wind ensemble and two guest singers. Tickets available through The Port Theatre ticket outlet, from singers and at the door.

Sunday, May 3, 2 pm
Yellow Point Singers, under the direction of Doug Roszmann and Cheryl Satre, with accompanist, Pippa Williams, present A Springtime Serenade at Cedar Community Hall.  Guest performers will be the men’s a cappella quartet, Charisma Bypass.  Tickets available from choir members or at the door: $20  5 years and under $5. See poster.

Saturday, May 9, 2:30pm
The Camerata Singers, under the direction of Lindsay Suddaby, present True North – Songs of Canada at St. Andrew’s United Church. Featuring music from every region of the country – including folk songs, Indigenous songs, and pieces by famous Canadian artists – we’ll feature the interplay of people and place that makes up the great mosaic of this land. Our guests will be accomplished duo Finch and the Fiddler on guitar, fiddle, and vocals. Tickets: $20 cash at the door, children under 12 no charge.

The Sinclair Singers, under the direction of Sharon Sinclair, will be performing their 20th Anniversary concert at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Departure Bay Rd.  The concert, entitled Seasons – Celebrating 20 Years with the Sinclair Singers, will feature a variety of song selections that have been treasured favourites over the years as well as some wonderful new repertoire!  Tickets, $20 and $5 for students, cash at the door.

Encore! Women’s Choir of Duncan, directed by Michelle Weckesser, hosts Island Bel Canto Singers, directed by Fiona Blackburn, as both choirs present a celebration of music by Canadian women at the Christian Reformed Church, Duncan. Sunday, May 10, 3 pm
AVIVA Chorus, directed by Kenton Willem, celebrates its 20th anniversary with Still Here, Still Queer!  at St. Andrew’s United Church. Guest artists will be the Montreal Gay Men’s Chorus. Saturday, May 23,  2 pm
Panache will present their spring concert at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 4235 Departure Bay Rd.  Their special guests and Celtic tunes will have you tapping your toes and singing along. See poster. Saturday, June 6, 7:30 pm
The Nanaimo Youth Choir, under the direction of Marian Smith, presents Under the Same Sky, featuring music inspired by nature, sky and imagination, at St. Andrew’s United Church, 315 Fitzwillliam Street, Nanaimo. Tickets $20 (under 14 no charge). Available at the Nanaimo Conservatory of Music, 375 Selby Street or at the door.

Friday, November 28, 2:30 pm
The Island Consort Chamber Choir, under the direction of Bruce Farquharson, presents Luminous Music of the Soul with guest artist, Liam Pistor, at St. Andrew’s United Church.  Ticket information pending.  

DECEMBER 2026

Wednesday, December 2, 7:30 pm
Join community choirs at the Community Carol Festival for an evening of beautiful seasonal music. Choirs will perform and there will be community carol singing.  Plan to attend and soak up the festive spirit. It will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church on Fitzwilliam. 

Saturday, December 5, 7:30 pm
The Sinclair Singers will be performing their Christmas Concert at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Departure Bay Road.  More details to come.
