There’s a new choir in town! Sing Again community choir, led by Sylvia Humble, is a joyful and informal group with a diverse range of people, from beginners/inhibited singers looking for a safe space to explore and embrace their voice, to experienced choristers looking for a creative break from sheet music.
A graduate of the Ubuntu Choir Network’s Community Choir Leadership Training (inspired by the Gettin’ Higher Choir in Victoria), Sylvia teaches 3- and 4-part harmony by ear, from 60’s classics to world music, call-and-response, sea shanties, and layer songs from the community singing movement.
Rather than traditional performances, Sylvia hosts community singing events featuring the choir, where everyone is invited to sing along! Sing Again community choir celebrates imperfection, and the magic and connection of singing together in harmony.
Sing Again currently meets on Monday afternoons at the Unitarian Fellowship on Townsite Road, and all voices are welcome. Learn more at www.sylviahumble.ca or email sylvia@sylviahumble.ca
