VIU jazz students participate in the Vancouver Island University Jazz Choir as part of a course which explores the idiom of choral jazz in a broad spectrum.
Students are guided to become better singers, sight readers and musicians as they learn classic vocal jazz repertoire: swing, Latin, ballad, samba styles and more – funk – you name it – they can do it!
Look for them at the Malaspina Theatre on campus when the music department hosts their end of term concert series.
